On Saturday, July 9th Naval Lodge will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the unknown soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
The records of Naval Lodge No. 4 note that, on July 13, 1864, the Lodge meeting was cancelled because these officers had to rush to the front lines and defend Washington, DC against rebel forces. These brothers represent the every-day soldier who fought without recognition or fame during the Civil War. We honor their bravery as well as all men and masons who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and whose disposition is known only to the grand architect.
All attendants are requested to arrive at the tomb site no later that 10:45am, the wreath laying will occur at 11:15am. Please note that the Arlington Cemetery staff request all guests leave enough time for guests to go through security screenings.
